It's been a while!

Burgundy Petals

It is really nice to sit here and write this and actually understand what I am doing! I have spent the last couple of weeks building my website.

I am not particularly computer savvy but I want a website that I am in control of, that I can update very quickly and at my convienience. I spent a long time deciding on the best way to go. I didn't want to pay someone to design and build it for me as I was unsure of exactly what I wanted 'til I got started! I keep my own erratic work hours, generally very early in the morning, evenings and late nights so I couldn't expect someone to work with me. By chance I stumbled across shopify .

Shopify allows you to create an ecommerce site (online shop) which they host for you. This can be done for free or you can upgrade to various packages for a monthly fee. Adding products is easy. Building the whole thing I haven't found so easy but thats probably just me!

Hopefully over the next few days my shop will be ready for launch!

The most amazing thing is that I have been making sales from it already.

I love days like these...

Its been a busy few days preparing orders which is why I have neglected my blog! I do love working like this though.

I am also waiting for a new shipment of Japanese papers to arrive so over the next few weeks I will have new designs available.

As well as all of this I am in the process of building my website, not bad for a techno numpty! More about this another time :)

Lookie, Lookie, Lookie....

Crimson Starburst

This is one of the pieces from my Chinese Tile range. Originally I was using small round tins. I liked them but wanted something more. I got a push to really look around when my supplier said he wasn't sure he could continue to source the tins.

I am sooo much happier with these lovely glass jars. They have a satisfying weight to them and are gorgeously glossy. I'm also very happy with the way the glazes fill the whole surface of the lid.

A great treat for yourself or a gift for friends.

Minnie's Violets

So named as my Nana, Minnie, loved these little flowers.

Both of these pendants can be seen in the Heart Gallery, Hebden Bridge.

New Beginnings...

Welcome to my brand spanking new blog!

Scarlet Summer Tile Pendant and Tin

This will be my place to wax lyrical about my creations and about creations by other people that I enjoy and generally covet :)

Black Olive Tile Pendant and Tin

The photographs seen here are from my range of tile pendants. These are handmade with vintage Chinese tiles and fine Japanese papers.
